Are You Asking "How Can I Really Make Money Online?"

By Ally Binmaker

For someone just starting CPA marketing, the mixture of different kinds of offers can be confusing. It might seem crushing at first to try and figure out what all the different offers are.

Some common types you will find in just about any CPA networks portfolio are free-trial offers, zip-submit offers, and e-mail-submit offers.

Lets begin with free-trial offers, because they are so strong with both advertisers and the marketers who promote them. The reason is simple: These free trial offers are often completely free to the customer, except for a small fee (as little as $1.95 or so) for shipping and handling. The customer receives a product they are excited about for an incredibly low price, and the advertiser gets a valuable lead.

Essentially, media buys involve buying banner ad space on sites, with the cost depending on the websites ranking and traffic, the size of the advertising campaign, the frequency at which the banners are to be shown, and other criteria. Payment for these ad campaigns is normally formulated on the parameter of CPM (cost per thousand impressions). Meaning that unlike PPC, when you're paying every time your ad is clicked, you are paying a set rate whenever a visitor sees your ad. Determined by the ad rates, you could end up getting very cheap clicks.

In basic terms you, as a CPA marketer, are basically a traffic broker: You buy traffic on one end, steer it to an squeeze page and get payments determined by how good it converts. Sounds so simple, doesn't it? It can be easy, but it normally isn't.

Because it is so profitable, CPA marketing is really competitive, and for a novice, it can be scary to begin trying to compete with big dogs making $100k a day and even more, or even with the more common affiliates who are making $500 to $1,000 a day pushing CPA campaigns. When you try to get going, you're going to be up against all of that competition, and it can be very intimidating. The truth is, many novices simply get frustrated and give up when they come to the conclusion that CPA marketing can be hard and costly.

Of course, just like any other kind of offer promotion, there are insider secrets that substantially increase your odds of success, and while you can simply jump in and hope for the best, you are far better off learning from a professional who has tested and tweaked strategies for maximum earnings.
