Thinking Out of The Box With Offline Marketing

By Don Contreras

It is a fact of web business life that there is competition in any market in which you are involved. One highly recommended activity is to diversify one's marketing and advertising as much as possible. Offline marketing is proving to be a hot strategy because it is still untapped when it comes to promoting Internet products, and there is much less competition. There are huge numbers of people who do not trust the internet, but they are responsive to initial contact off the net. Do you understand what would work and the way to implement it?

Do not ever think that getting involved at this level of marketing is impossible to do because it just is not. Just as an example, the simple voicemail feature that describes something and points people to your site can really work. What you do is place a small advertisement with your number, and then you can see how people respond to it; you may be surprised. Anyone can read a one minute audio message that people can listen to when they call, and they hear what you have to say and also get the URL to your promotion. You do not want to lose people, so perhaps you can actually spell the domain name for them, too.

One other area of opportunity exists with newspapers ads, and you should not automatically dismiss this. If you were thinking about the classified ad, then you were thinking correctly and you win a prize. Yes, of course we have seen ads in magazines within certain niches that send people to websites. Being successful with this strategy depends on different factors, but this is definitely possible.

Here is something that many people have used with very nice results, and you can use it too as leverage in your marketing. People are crazy when it comes down to getting something for free, and it works very well. This is an old concept but when you offer these items to people you simply have all your business info on them so people will always see it. You can have these items distributed in various ways, and the best part about this method is that you don't have to invest a lot of money to purchase these freebies.

All of this is similar to online marketing because your results are determined by what you put into it. You may make some mistakes, but that is ok because you will always be learning.
