Best PPC Strategies For 2012 - Strategies That Work

By Paul Santana

If you have an Internet business, and you want to make money in 2012, PPC advertising might be the way to go. Many people use the PPC advertising provided by the Google Adwords network which has proven profitable for many people. That is fine and does not mean you are unable to promote affiliate products. It is just better if you use another platform because Google does not like promoting these products on their network. All you need to focus on is using profitable strategies that will work on any platform you choose. It is very easy to lose with pay per click so do PPC in high-volume only after you have some practice.

First of all, keyword stuffing is not something you want to do. This particular tactic is frowned upon by Bing/Yahoo or Google PPC, so don't try it. You can use other techniques instead that lead you to success. You will of course use your primary ad group keyword phrases in either the headline and body copy. You could also use secondary keywords to potentially find other customers. What Google will do is recognize that you are trying to attract people for that particular keyword. It all comes down to testing, however, and to see how well it works for what you are selling.

Creating short copy is an absolute necessity for any PPC campaign that you create. Here's why: PPC ads are known as short copy because they are so short - intuitive, eh. When you have a short amount of ad space, you might think it is pointless to try to sell your product. Tell that to the many successful short copy writers who have been successful! You should be happy to know that it will not take you several weeks to master how to do this. You will want to do what is necessary if you want to succeed, otherwise you will be throwing your money away. Becoming comfortable with writing PPC ads will happen after you have written 100 ads or so.

You can split test your ads on almost every PPC platform out there. You can actually have many more options when split testing on networks outside of Google or Bing. Adbrite is a company that wants allows you to test 100 ads at a time. I do not know if they still offer that many ad variations and they may still have that feature. You need to split test until you are happy with your advertising conversions. This is something you always need to do when you are marketing online.

Although you may have read several courses on PPC advertising, experiences truly the best way to figure out how to do this. To truly get a feel for how to run campaigns, you need to do a couple on your own. Learning advanced tricks will happen next, once you get the hang of how to do the campaigns. Just look on the Internet, and you will find the strategies in no time at all.
