Professional Security Associates talks about the Tatics it uses to Keep Long Islands Businesses Safe

By Jay Reayes

Everyone is talking about Professional Security Associates list of security tips and practices that PSA has released onto the press. Over 10 years experience and training has gone into the making of the tips and procedures listing. I have worked and supervised security in NYC and Long Island for over 75 venues and we have compiled a list of guidelines that will make everyone safer.

When checking I.D.s remember that the criminals will have a fake ID. They need it to steal and to falsify their information so they don't get caught! Always demand ID when taking a credit card. Library cards and school IDs are not valid forms of ID recognized by NYS.

Security guards are required by the security officers at PSA to carry flashlights on them while they are working. Lighting an area to see obstructions or items is important in security and especially night club security. Parking lot attendance is a must have situation for a flashlight, so you can signal cars and become visible for safety reasons.

The purpose of a security guard or officer possessing a license is to ensure the safety and qualifications of a security guard and personnel. You are required to have any necessary paperwork on you while working. It ensures the quality of security officers.

Some jobs have environments that are extremely noisy. Protective equipment like foam plugs or rubber fixtures are a necessity in NYC and Long Island. Especially for the professional security guard who work in the environment 5+ days a week. I have woken up days later after some parties with my ears still ringing.

Failing to prepare for the worst often invites it. Crimes happen, theft, vandalism, arson can cause mass amounts of property damage and loss of large amounts of inventory. Criminals posing as customers selling drugs or even prostitutes selling their wares are trying to do it in your place of business! Professional Security Associates lets you sleep at night knowing your safe and secure.

I brought what I learned in the military to night club security and hotel security. I have established a very particular reputation in the field as a hard hitting, no-nonsense @$#hole. Been doing this for 20 years and have seen some thrilling nights. Hard to believe people take guns to night clubs, but Ive looked down that barrel more then once. Ive stood at a clubs front door and watched as 30 gang members crowded into the parking lot. Being in the top security guard company has its privileges.

Today all the security guard companies in Long Island and NYC use PSA's tactics and methods. Many of Professional Security Associates competitors are individuals who broke off and away from PSA to start their own business, but still use ProSecuritys training and methods. The owners today were the owners and managers from 10 years ago and have seen and adapted to the change of laws, criminals and technology. PSAs ability to stay afloat and its ability to prosper in a very demanding field stand testament to its ability.
