Don't Miss These Terrifying Horror Films

By Sharon K Robinson

It seems that every October the ghosts, the ghouls, the witches and the goblins come out. Halloween is in the air, but bloodcurdling movies are entertaining to observe all year long. Here are a few frightening movies that you can download instantaneously.

Good horror films often get remade over and over again. "House on Haunted Hill" originally came out in 1959 and then again in 1999, 40 years later on. In the film a millionaire and his wife offer 5 guests the prospect to receive some money, ironically with inflation it was only $10,000 in 1959 and a cool $1,000,000 in 1999, if they can remain the full night in a haunted home.

The initial 1959 version starred Vincent Price, Carol Ohmart, Richard Long, Alan Marshal, Carolyn Craig and Elisha Cook. In the 1999 adaptation the character names and characteristics were changed but the general plot stayed the same. In 1999, the millionaire was portrayed by Geoffrey Rush, Famke Jannsen portrayed his wife and the guests were Taye Diggs, Peter Gallagher, Chris Kattan, Ali Larter and Bridgette Wilson.

The most well-known vampire in history is Bram Stoker's Dracula. In 1931 the first Dracula movie starred Bela Lugosi as Count Dracula. A more recent adaptation in 1992 starred Gary Oldman as Dracula. Francis Ford Coppola directed that edition. It also starred Wynona Ryder, Anthony Hopkins and Keanu Reeves.

Dracula has had many movie versions but they all remain true to the Vampire that inflicts destruction and fear upon the populace of the Transylvania. Bram Stoker wrote the book of the most celebrated vampire of all times in 1897.

Another motion picture to check out is "The Prince of Darkness" from 1987. An abandoned church in Los Angeles holds a long-lost and forgotten canister that is full with unadulterated evil. The devil himself could be unleashed and it could devastate civilization, as we know it. The Pastor of the church and some students must end the destruction.

"The Prince of Darkness" stars Donald Pleasence, Jameson Parker, Victor Wong and Lisa Blount. Alice Cooper, the rock star, makes an appearance as a street schizo. John Carpenter directed the motion picture.

Anytime of the year is a great time to scare yourself silly with a remarkable horror motion picture. Check out these and other great titles and download them now so you can view them tonight.
