Fashion for 2011

By James Shepherd

Style trends for 2011 have been confirmed and all the top fashion sources are saying it's going to be another vintage inspired year. There are a number of sunglasses styles to complement the in trends this year, taking inspiration from the same vintage years that clothes are.

Fashion and style from the 70s is making a huge comeback this year and the high street stores are full of retro colours, headscarves, flares and oversized sunglasses. The top stylists have all said that large framed sunglasses and exaggerated shapes are going to be on trend with large sunglasses being a must buy for the summer of 2011.

Although reliving the seventies has brought some amazing sunglasses designs that were once extremely popular back into the spotlight, it has also brought with it every animal print imaginable. Leopard prints aren't the only animal print found in high street stores, tiger, zebra and even giraffe have found their way into the market to really emphasise the vintage era of the 70s. However don't make the mistake of thinking that animal print sunglasses will go well with such as outfit. Conservative brown and black sunglasses have been recommended for those wearing animal print, with the exception of some tortoise shell offerings.

The colours that are making a particular impact in 2011 will be white and orange, continuing the strong 70s theme throughout fashion. The bold colour has made its way into sunglasses too with many high end designers providing frames that are full of bright colours and strong frames.

If you want to stay in style and on trend this year it is essential that you know what sunglasses are going to be most suited to this year's big fashion statements. 2011 is the year of vintage 70s fashion and the bolder and brighter the sunglasses the better, unless of course you decide to go down the route of animal print!
