The Finest Movies From Pixar

By Leroy Holmes

Kids and grown-ups alike love the films from Pixar. Pixar has made only 10 feature films but each one of them has been a decisive and marketable triumph. As of this time, the studio has earned twenty-two Academy Awards, four Golden Globes and three Grammy's. Pixar is one of the most significantly celebrated film studios of all time.

Pixar's success starts in the year 1995 with "Toy Story". This wonderful motion picture follows the life of Woody, the toy cowboy as he competes with "Buzz Lightyear" as the beloved toy. "Toy Story 2", the sequel, came out in 1999.

In between the success of the "Toy Story" movies came "A Bug's Life" in the year 1998. This is the tale of an ant name Flik who is resolute to save the food that the ant colony worked hard to store from some very gluttonous and ferocious grasshoppers.

"Monsters, Inc." came out in 2001. It is a pleasing account about the all of the monsters hiding under our children's beds and in their closets at nighttime, a true masterpiece.

The most commercially successful Pixar film to date came out in 2003. "Finding Nemo" grossed more than $800 million worldwide. "Finding Nemo" is a amusing story about a little clown fish that gets separated from his dad and taken away to reside in an aquarium in a dentist's office. The adventure begins when Nemo disappears and his dad travels the ocean to find him.

The year of 2004 brought us a movie about superhero's at their best. "The Incredibles" is about Mr. and Mrs. Parr, who were once known as Mr. Incredible and Elastigirl. They had to relinquish their crime fighting jobs to become average people and raise a family in the suburbs. When the excitement of his bygone life as a superhero overtakes Mr. Incredible, can Elastigirl and the rest of the Incredibles save him?

These great films were followed by "Cars' in 2006, a enjoyable motion picture about a car named Lightning McQueen and what he learns about being happy and triumphant in the city of Radiator Springs. "Ratatouille" in 2007, is about Remy the rat and his ideas of being a cook in a fine French restaurant. And from 2008, a movie all about Love, and the final robot left inhabiting the earth," Wall-E".

And now there is what is predicted to be the greatest Pixar picture yet. "Up" is a movie about lifetime dreams and following your dreams no matter your age, as an elderly man makes his dreams come true with resolve and grit.
