Youth Show at Craft Fairs

By Mara Hernandez-Capili

Whether it be partying, going to the bookstore to read on their favorite novels or simply to go window shopping- youths of today generally like to explore their surroundings with their treasured friends. For the Youth nothing sounds more fun than to bond together with commom friends and share interesting and fun activities together.

At craft fairs there are many great activities for youth to do. This article is written to provide us with the things that teenagers can look forward to when attending craft fairs. First, craft fairs have extensive programs and instructional lessons that can teach youngsters to explore on thei r artistic capabilities. Instructional art and painting lessons are provided by skilled art instructors for teenagers who are artistically inclined.

For those who love music, they can enjoy the different band performances that craft fairs usually have in order to further enrich the crafting/ shopping experience. Some younsters even admit that the reason that they go to craft fairs is because of the bands who will perform there. Sounds like these bands already found their own group of fans and groupies. Contemporary rock, alternative and pop bands (local residents) are always seen to perform in craft fairs.

There are indeed a lot of things that teenagers can do in craft fairs - whether they be the band aficionado type, the artist type or the outreach type. Teenagers who work for a cause are not left behind during craft fairs because there are outreach programs also present there. Some outreach programs are blood donation programs which are sponsored by the local blood bank and have highschool students as volunteer aids for Doctors and Nurses.

For teenagers I strongly urge you to come at craft fairs and see the different offerings in store for you today.
