Need Help Marketing Online? Use These Video Marketing Tips

By Reck Erich

Lots of businesses have added video marketing to their advertising repertoire. People really enjoy videos, and they represent a quick, simple method of communicating with customers. If you want to start video marketing, this article has tips to help you.

Don't be intimidated by video marketing. A decent camera is all it takes to start! You could take your audience through the production process of whatever product you sell, or simply talk to them one-on-one in a natural setting.

Even though you are trying to market a business, it is a good idea to get a little personal with your video delivery. This means that it is okay to share personal stories that may help you connect with others. Make sure you stay professional, since being otherwise may cause you to lose users.

For example, you might receive feedback from customers indicating that they do not understand a particular aspect or usage requirement for one of your products. A step-by-step explanatory video is the perfect way to address their concerns. You will be solving the problem for those that have asked about it and for people that are going to be using it in the future as well.

If the purpose of your video is getting someone to purchase a product or service you offer, then you need a working link they can use to buy it. If possible, include this link in the video player. This helps the link stay within your video if its embedded or shared on another site.

Do you offer a variety of services in your business? If so, consider using video marketing to explain the common services in your business. Make a short video showing each type of service you do and how a customer can determine the level of service they need. This will inform your customer and likely increase sales. So, show with video all the things that make your services a cut above the rest.

Think about creating a viral video. Viral videos are videos that are shared on social media websites and explode in popularity. Be careful, though. Some people on the Internet can see right through a viral video attempt, and it can end up as a failure. Be creative and make a video that people will actually want to watch. Humor is always a plus.

Get all your staff involved in your videos. Find someone who is comfortable in front of a camera, smiles a lot, dresses well and talks clearly. If you can, use more than one colleague.

YouTube comment search is a great way to find videos on the topic you're planning to use in your next video. This allows you to see what other people are talking about and then you can either answer their questions or come up with new information which isn't currently being provided.

When you upload a video to YouTube, also upload it to Facebook, and vice versa. You should use the embed code from Facebook on your site instead of YouTube as Facebook followers tend to be more lucrative than YouTube followers, and you're working to build your brand with the video you post.

Just like with SEO, don't target keywords but instead key phrases. People aren't going to Google "tent" to find a video. What would you use to search for your video? "Comparison of camping tents" or "camping tent review" or even "how to pitch a tent" are far more likely to be used.

Hopefully, this article has given you plenty of inspiration to get started on your video marketing campaign. This method of advertising is already in full swing all around the Internet, and you should be using it too! Whether you're a small outfit or a big company, video marketing can do wonders for your business.
