Online Paid Surveys And How They Make You Money

By Greg Shuey

Paid online surveys are always considered to be a good idea to make a little more money, only if you find the right website for you. The disadvantage for this idea is that they often pay so little for filling out paid online surveys, that at the end of it all, you would only be receiving extra change. Did you know that paid online survey sites has its own downside for the company hosting the site as well as the person taking the online survey?

Since the company pays only a little for just one survey, many people started to cheat, making this their own money making scheme. How do they cheat? Simple. They fill out paid online survey numerous times using many different screen names and email addresses. They also lie when it comes to qualifications, saying that things are not true, just so that they could qualify for the survey. When they do get to answer the survey, they rush through the answers, whether it is true or false. This, in return, gives the company false information, ending up with survey results that they cannot use, therefore wasting time, money, and effort.

As for the participant, the major disadvantage for this would be the middlemen that are usually involved in the process. If they look and sound like a legit site, be keen and be cautious, so as they might just get your information and be greedy and sell it to hackers spread across the Internet. To avoid identity theft while earning extra money, dont sign up for any paid online survey sites that require that you pay them. Look for the privacy statements and disclaimers and read them carefully. If a website says that it is not a scam chances are that it is. Finally you should always trust your gut, even if it sounds too good to be true-- it most likely is.

After reading this article, one might think twice about this idea of making extra money, and to simply steer clear of paid online surveys. Fear not. Why? Because there are a lot of companies out there that are trying to provide the consumers with the best product that they can offer. Just be careful with everything and everyone, double check all the information you see, and do not give any personal identification or credit card numbers to people whom you do not trust.
