Payday: Acerbic, vibrant picture of life on the street with a conceited, selfish country and western music megastar, a jerk who calls on his supervisor to "fix" some complications that crop up during the concert tour. One of those prototypical early1970s films that makes modern American movie theater come across bland. Cast includes Rip Torn, Anna Capri, Cliff Emmich, and Michael C. Gwynne. (103 minutes, 1973)

No Minor Vices: Arrogant comedy in which stereotypically offbeat performer Jordan tries to materialize between pediatrician Andrews and spouse Palmer. Starts off well however slows down. Cast includes Lewis Milestone, Dana Andrews, Lilly Palmer, Louis Jordan, Jane Wyatt, Bernard Gorcey, and Man Bridges. (96 minutes, 1948)

The Juror: Gloomy and, it turns out, psychopathic underworld compute Baldwin victimizes an unsuspecting Moore so that she can teeter associate jurors into acquitting a Mafia manager. Comparisons to Trial By Jury are apt, although this one goes on much longer and gets more absurd by the second. Cast includes Demi Moore, Alec Baldwin, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Anne Heche, James Gandolfini, and Lindsay Crouse. (116 minutes, 1996)

After the Wedding: Devoted communal employee Mikkelsen who runs an orphanage in rural India is conjured home to Copenhagen to meet a prosperous guy who might fund his ventures. He shows up just as the industrialist's baby girl is getting wedded, and at the marriage ceremony makes a stunning uncovering. Cast includes Mads Mikkelsen, Rolf Lassgard, Sid Knudsen, Stine Fischer Christensen, and Mona Mal. (124 minutes, 2006)

Forrest Gump: Sitting on a park bench waiting for the bus, Forrest Gump recounts the events of his life to total strangers. We learn of all the incredible adventures this simple man has experienced that have eventually returned him to this bus stop back, and soon to his lifelong love, Jenny. Tom Hanks stars as Forrest Gump.

From the earth to The Moon: Jules Verne's fiction doesn't hover well in contrived sci-fi of early rocket flight to the moon. War horse cast looks most agitated. Cast includes Joseph Cotten, George Sanders, Debra Paget, Don Dubbins, Patric Knowles, and Henry Daniel. (100 minutes, 1958)

Shadow-lands: Soaking up story of British author C. S. Lewis the Lion, The Sorcerer and the Closet whose content if firm life as an Oxford don in the 1950s is rattled by his meeting with a forthright American poet. Cast includes Richard Attenborough, Anthony Hopkins, Debra Winger, Edward Hardwick, Michael Denison, Joseph Mazzello, John Wood, Robert Fleming, and Peter Howell. (130 minutes, 1993)

The Eagle Has Landed: Action-bundled wartime venture taken from fanciful Jack Higgins best-vendor in reference to Nazi structure to abduct Winston Churchill.
