Why market ebooks? The Net is awash with all sorts of ebooks. Ebooks about cooking, Ebooks about cleaning,child rearing, golf, cars,prescription drugs and anything more you can think about. Some are long. Hundreds of pages. Some are short. Ten pages or perhaps less.
With all these ebooks out there certainly everything has been written about each topic right?
Naturally not. Even if another electronic book has the same info yours does no-one else has your point of view, your style, your voice. Whatever you write about, your electronic book will be uniquely yours.
Only you are certain what you think and feel about a topic. Only you can put it together in your own special way. Your e-book is personal. It's your opinion on whatever.
So why not publish a normal paper book. Well you can. If you choose a topic the publisher is looking for. If you can mobilize up the minimum number of chapters the publisher needs. If you can find a publisher who assumes your writing will sell. The arena of traditional publishing is not for the faint of heart or the individual that thinks they'd wish to be a writer.
Well what about self publishing. A sensible choice. If you do not mind paying up for revising. Then stumping up for printing. Then buying a minimum number of you own book. All this is before you start marketing.
I don't want to give you the idea I'm against other publishing techniques. In reality if you have written the great American novel or a great guide on how to do whatever, that meets publisher suggestions then go for it. However , if you are just the average Joe or Jane who has some home spun knowledge to share with the world a PDF is the best way to go.
The Net gives a fast, straightforward and inexpensive technique to get your book out there. Your book itself. Not just word about your book. With a PDF, after buying software, your only cost is promoting. No printing costs. No editing charges.
You control the length of your e-book, the layout, it's all you. The ultimate type of self expression. Plus, you do not have to convince a publisher how great your idea is. You are in total control. You have the first and last say on everything. Each writers dream. Your vision pure.
Any topic you can think about, politics, love, e-mail marketing, why the original Star Trek is the best...anything.
