Employees want to work in safer workplaces and when they feel their safety is threatened by operations of machines, they may down their tools or even quit their jobs. The morale of workers is likely to diminish when they feel threatened. Workers and employers can step up safety and protection in workplace by ensuring that there is proper and timely training.

People need to take precautions when they work in areas where heavy machinery is turning. If they do not observe such measures, they may find themselves injured. Safe work practices should always be promoted in workplace. Workplaces that witness higher number of accidents may be targeted by the OSHA inspectors. This is not something many employers would want to deal with.

The workplace becomes more safer and workers are likely to step up their performance and productivity. One thing, which affects the performance of workers in the workplace, is safety. If workers do not feel safe, then their morale will go down. They may not work optimally in fear that they will be injured. The image of a company may be tainted if it is associated with numerous accidents among the workforce.
