Company Name Ideas That Have Pop And Sparkle

By Kristen Baird

As you are trying to think up a new name for your business, it is interesting to note what companies, before you, have used as reasons for the ones they choose. Looking into the new one you need must take into consideration a lot of things. All of the company name ideas you come up with must brand you and the products and services you are known for.

Your own personal one could mean a lot to other people, especially if you follow through on that personal attention to them a personal name would mean. Eddie Bauer has done that and so has Deborah Lippmann. J. C. Penny lends his name to the store that many people trust.

The names you come up with that simply tell what you do and or how you do it is something to think about. When a construction contractor is looking for concrete, they might pass up on Morgan Ltd., however, the ABC Concrete Factory will jump out at them. No one can dispute what The Outback steakhouse has to offer even if they do not eat meat.

Many ideas have come about by brain storming. In these sessions, many questions could be answered that potential clients need answered. The down Town Cafe will help people understand where you are located. The Chicago Lumber Yard will help builders know where they will have to go when they need your products. Borrowing your States name might be allowed in the corporation licensing board and the Golden State catering company can be born.

The Internet, and your need to be on it, will bring other considerations. The name you select will need to be searched for appropriateness when anyone makes an entry into their search box. The website you develop will also have to be keyword rich, however, a keyword based company domain will help as this is read by the engines as being authoritative.

Names of family members can work quite well as part of a company one. Wendy probably had no say in the matter when her father wanted to launch his hamburger shop. Mr. Kroc borrowed the name from a made up person who was probably not a member of his family. However, many people make Ronald McDonald a part of their family meals all of the time.

That is the important part of naming your business. That is the branding that is critical to success as well as simply finding a name that brings people in the door or to the website. When people hear your name they must be able to visualize your front door or the last time they did business with you. That visualization also must to be a pleasant one.

It is interesting to note that many companies, through the years, have changed the names they chose, right as they were filling out their registration paperwork. Sometimes it worked out quite well, and many more times, it did not. On the Internet, you may find the one you wanted was not available as a domain and need to rethink your choice. Create the one you need and make it you.
