The internet has continued to play a major role in modern marketing. This has been largely contributed by the increased number of internet users throughout the world which forms a large pool of both preexisting and potential customers of various goods and services. Attribution modelling is a feature that helps advertisers to evaluate how various forms of advertising are performing. It helps track the number of conversations that can be directly or indirectly be attributed to the advertising action. Consequently, marketers will be able to know whether or not they need to continue using this type of advertising.

There has been increased use of Local Store Marketing (LSM). Local companies have used this service to modify advertisements to conform to the requirements of their immediate environments. This has gone a long way into helping improve their listing in local search results. It has also helped many businesses, both big and small, to engage their customers as well as measure their success.

Technology is growing at a very fast rate. Many businesses are taking advantage of the improved technology and using it to get to customers more easily. They are able to use cheaper and more effective methods of marketing that has been the case in the past. Failure to adopt these new ways of doing businesses is likely to give an advantage to the competitors.
