Determine whether you would like your Virtual Assistant to contact you with updates on a daily, weekly or monthly basis as needed. When providing your Virtual Assistant with instructions ensure they are always direct, precise and understandable. Also ensure your Virtual Assistant is aware of your preferred method of communication.

2. Be Open and Trust the Partnership In order to have a successful relationship between you and your virtual assistant, you must be open to any idea and suggestions that your virtual assistant may have to provide. And like any relationship it is very important that you trust your virtual assistant. When your virtual assistant says that they are working for you it is important for you to trust that they really are working for you.

3. Have Patience Make sure you let your Virtual Assistant know how you would like to operate your business. Set rules and regulations on how you would like your work done and explain your expectations. Ensure that you answer your Virtual Assistance question and guide them. Also ensure that your Virtual Assistant have enough time to learn about your business and preferences. This will lead to your partnerships success.

4. Give up Control It's is important that you give up control of certain areas of your business and allow your virtual assistant to take over. Your virtual assistant can handle all your administrative tasks like answering calls, checking mails, data entry etc, this way you will get plenty of time to concentrate on more important areas of your business. And you can be sure that your work is being handled professionally.

5. Plan Ahead Remember that in most cases, your Virtual Assistant has other people they work for so keep that in mind when you provide them with work. Don't leave things until the last minute. It is important that you make yourself available ahead of time especially if there are deadlines to beat. Virtual assistants are professional workers. They know how to handle pressure as long as they are given enough time to prepare for it.
