Battling The Hype In Empower Network

By Russell Howe

It is very easy to look at a business and get excited about what you 'might' achieve, or dream about how you could possibly make money online without very much effort. Of course, this is the number one reason so many people fail and today we're going to use Empower Network as the example to show where so many people go wrong on the internet when they are trying to build a new lifestyle.

This is an issue which has bugged the home based business industry ever since the internet began. In an almost endless sea of sales pitches and hype, most people join up to affiliate programs expecting it to be something it's not. And rightly so, too, because if they have seen constant hype about how it's easy to build an income with almost no effort at all that is exactly what they're going to expect when they join.

The worst part is that the great income is actually there for the taking and there is nothing stopping the person from achieving it other than the false mindset they have got. Getting past that initial nonsense is the first step to progress. []

For many affiliate marketers the only reason they failed to reach their goal is the fact that they jumped into a company expecting something to be easier than it was. A large part of the time, it wasn't even their own fault. If you've ever looked around at various home business programs you'll know what we mean.

The internet has a habit of making things like this appear easier than they actually are. It takes hard work, just like in real life, to become your own boss.

The main reason it can be easier to succeed with a real-world business than an internet business is because you'll be able to get proven guidance with an offline business. The internet is so full of hype and nonsense that if you try getting some advice you'll be met with a dozen sales pitches each trying to out-do each other by promising you an easier ride than the last one.

With this particular business there are 3 simple rules to follow:

* You should be making the most of the product package if you are paying a membership each month. It's there to be used, so do it.

* While there is much talk of the $25 per month membership price in this company you need to read the small print. If you wish to become an affiliate you need to pay an extra $20 on top of that each month.

* The majority of people who struggle trying to build an income from home do so because they simply do not work hard enough on their business. In most cases, this is down to the false mentality created by the marketing.

The third step is the one where most people fail and the harsh reality is that a lot of affiliate programs bring this lack of success on their own members by giving a false idea of how easy it is to create an income from home.

Remember the success stories you see featured on the main page of any company are to be considered standout cases, freak results, otherwise they wouldn't have been featured so heavily.

There is a fine line between success and failure when you're trying to make money online. Quite frankly it doesn't matter if it's with Empower Network or any other company, either. The biggest problem on the landscape of your progress is your ability to handle pressure and resist the endless hype of the next big thing.
