The Key Reason Why You Should Utilize A Floor Lamp Rather Than A Ceiling Illumination

By Daniel Turbin

When the common individual thinks of recessed lighting trim they are most likely thinking, "It has trim?"

Yes it does.

Let's confront it, the entire use of lights being mounted into the roof is to provide light without attracting attention to the light source. If you needed the light itself to be most important you should have invested in a floor lamp.

The floor lamp has all the unsightly cords to try and hide, the dog can strike it over, and you have to move it each time you vacuum the carpet - but I digress. I feel that recessed lighting adds a new mood and decor to the room.

Think about Nissan trucks. (Yes, recessed lighting trim and Nissan trucks have a resemblance.) Nissan, in existing years, started utilizing the rivets that keep the fenders attached as a part of the truck design. This was to underline the "toughness" of the vehicle. We can implement this to recessed lighting trim. Rather than hiding it, making it flat and the same shade as the ceiling, add a little colour and a little depth.

You have to have some kind of trim, so utilize it!

In case the room has a colour concept to it, take it straight to the ceiling, like the way wood appears. Add a wood trim to the lights; maybe even stain it so it matches all the furniture in the room. Can't you just see it matching the dining room set? So exquisite.

And it doesn't have to be flat, maybe a small raised surface. Maybe just a minor arc or a dynamic slant. Feeling a little daring? Check out few texture - uneven, bumpy, ripples, hatch marks...

Think picture frames. The options are just that endless; in shade, shape and design.

So now, whenever questioned what do you think about recessed lighting trim, you might just have a bit more to say!
