Effective Manner Of Safeguarding Your Children From Bad Company

By David A Arkere

As my teenage daughter recently turned sixteen, I have to admit that my wife and I have become increasingly protective over our only child more than ever before. We give her enough freedom to go out and meet up with her buddies. However, we have observed recently that she has become quite secretive of her actions.

She was usually locked up within her room and chatting on the web. What's even worse, she often took late-night phone calls from another person whose name we did not recognize. We then decided to utilize audio surveillance systems for help or possibly a telephone recording device of some sort.

We purchased a bunch of audio surveillance devices online. Because she now spent most of her time within her room, we selected one item from a long line of digital phone/room recorders offered in online shops.

The phone recorder was not so difficult to use. All we had to do was plug the battery-powered unit into a phone jack and it started recording incoming and also outgoing telephone conversations with the push of a button.

We also set up an amplified line level microphone with high gain on the desk in our young girl's room. This is so we can hear in on her conversations on Skype or when she goes on live chat.

The mini microphone was very easy to install. It comes with a standard RCA jack for easy audio connection and also a standard female barrel for power.

In addition to the microphone on her desk as well as the phone recording device, we further employed the use of a phone manager that works double-time when compared to a normal caller ID gadget. This user-friendly device is capable of saving around 2000 incoming calls and 200 outgoing calls, and providing a time stamp to these telephone calls.

With much relief and with the help of the telephone recording device and other audio surveillance gadgets, we were able to uncover the mystery of her friend. It turns out that our teenager had enlisted the assistance of a tutor to help her with university entrance applications.
