SEO Tips For a Yoga Business

By Daniel Singleton

Yoga studios are cropping up all over the world and throughout North America. The yoga business is becoming big business.

Even in mid-sized towns and cities there are numerous yoga studios. You could say the competition among yoga studios is heating up.

You must face it that without yoga students, a yoga studio will go broke fast. The trick is getting customers who not only try your studio, but stick with you.

What you must know as a yoga business owner is that more and more people go to online and use the Internet for checking out yoga studios in their area. It's your job to ensure you get them to notice your studio in the search engines.

The most-used search engine is Google; this is where most prospective yoga customers will start looking for a studio to attend. This means getting on page one of Google for any "yoga" related search term is critical.

Without getting technical, you need to research your customers. You must know what terms they will search in order to find you. Put another way, you need to put keywords in your website that when found by web searchers, they will call you and go to your yoga studio.

You can use keywords on every page of your site - take advantage of each page. Plan it out and get every specific yoga style you teach as a keyword.

When I talk about keywords, I'm really talking about the meta titles, headings, and written content in your site. These are the places where you set out your keywords.

Once you know your keywords for every page of your site, you need links to your site. Link building is so important for SEO it cannot be overstated. After all, the web is just that, a web of links.

Where to get links to your site? First of all, write great content. Write a blog and attract links. Other tricks require you to use SEO products that help you build awesome links to your website which will in short order get you to page one of Google.
