Millions of people are employed all over the world in various industries. Factory equipment hums day and night to meet production schedules and deliveries. This all becomes easy if one applies product management framework.

A large proportion of the population lives in domiciles construction on lots assignment by authorities for dwelling structures. Throngs of people converge in this area after work, from teachers, office workers, laborers, and executives and managers. It is hearth and abode to several individuals who need to take rest along with family after toiling the whole day.

Commerce takes place in commercial districts. Goods and commodities are displayed and sold here inside shopping malls, shops, and department stores. Hotel and apartments compete with each other standing tall in the skyline. Transactions happen here all the time. Exchanges of good and money or service is an everyday occurrence. The land where machines are the kings is known as an industrial estate. A government encourages business entrepreneurs to set up shop here. Capitalists invest money to build factories that produce goods that will satisfy the needs of the consuming public. Production lines slither inside facilities like giant anacondas. Production steps are difficult to enforce and needs careful planning and implementation.

Unprocessed material has definitive characteristics both physical and chemical. Material mostly comes from the natural world. These serve as inputs in industry and are usually at the beginning of a production process. It can be shaped and cut to conform to a specification. Other substances may be combined or infused to it to alter the end product quality.

Any activity that involves money translates to the economy. The industrial sector is a major contributor of the economy not just by itself but because of allied industries that are attached to it. Logistics and warehousing are big businesses as it stores and distributes the goods to consumers. All these are also dependent on banking and finance.

Industry methods and processes improve with new technology. Robotics has increased accuracy and precision in making items. It also makes mass production very viable. Businesses exist with sole aim of making profits and this can be achieved by adopting sound management practices in various competencies. Six sigma methodologies are becoming more popular in modern industry.

The major challenge of the manufacturing sector nowadays is the problem of pollution. Chemical wastes are a major headache for world leaders. Chemical contamination is manifested through several methods be it by air or through oral cavity ingestion. Even just a touch can be very dangerous especially in nuclear power plants. The earth is now very polluted and the sea, land, and air all have it.

Hard to foresee the future is. No one really knows the extent of damage man has inflicted on the planet. Interventions must be put in place to retard to the destruction of nature and its resources. Ecological balance must be preserved and protected as this is the only planet that supports life. If it dies, the people will die with it.
