Design Aspects Involved In Paper Bag Printing

By Carlo Green

With the rising ecological consciousness, companies are increasingly preferring paper bags when they sell their items at their retail shops. These bags don't degrade the environment and can be produced and printed at lesser costs than alternative products.

Paper bag printing can be seen as a skill that has been mastered by many printing services companies across the world who are repeatedly surprising clients with the superior quality of their work. The predecessors of modern paper bags were the retailers' brown bags that were very simple and were without designs. But their present day variants are both classy in form and sturdy, and they are meant to be reused.

One has to focus on several design elements of a paper bag before sending it for printing. You have to first consider the objective the bag will serve and then pick the quality of paper which will be able to do justice to the purpose.

After selecting the right kind of paper, the colour of the graphic that will be printed on the bag will have to be selected. You have to get the right colour mix for the paper bag so that it appeals to the customers and helps in effective brand advertisement. If the colours are disturbing to the eye then the users could react negatively.

The third factor in design of paper bag is to make it both classy in appearance and useful in functions. Every design aspect of a paper bag, from size to shape, should be based on two important factors - the type of people who will be using the bag and kind of products that will be put in it. For instance, if the bag is supposed to carry a box of shoes, then you can attach rope handles that are both attractive and inexpensive, and will help the customer in carrying the bag without any difficulty.

Both paper bags and the designs on them are quite cheap to create and print, yet one should not neglect style and quality of design. Besides, the entire process of printing should in no way harm the environment at any step, so that the appeal of the bags can be retained.

Finally, you have to cautiously and strategically think about what type of message you would wish the paper bag to bear. Good advice in this respect will always be available for you as most printing services companies will have people who can come up with catchy slogans. But the company logo must always be present with the message, and the message itself must be in tune with the company's brand identity.
