Tips to Make Your PLACE Study Highly Effective

By Tom Addison

The study of this material isn't only a learned ability, it can be sharpened and honed until you are able to successfully take in increasing amounts of knowledge in decreased units of time, and then successfully retain this information over time. There are many confirmed applications and tactics that will improve your study of this subject, and considerably improve your test scores as well.

The first step to take would be to collect all of the study guides, text books, course notes and practice notes in one location and this will certainly help you to have an effective study of the subject matter.

The second step is for you to get a study routine in place. The key is a little bit at a time, often, over a lengthy period of time. The further ahead the PLACE exam lies, the much more you should focus on finding a strong understanding of the units that the exam is going to cover.

It's much better to schedule many short study sessions than it would be to attempt to cram all of your studying into a few long ones. You'll find that the shorter study sessions result in a lot less boredom and less burn out.

Step three on your list would be to create a quick checklist of the materials the test will cover. Review summaries of the books and guides that you've got available, because these will remind you of pertinent issues you have to know.

In order to get a higher understanding of the material, you need to note the points which aren't so simple and come up with study flashcards containing appropriate theories, ideas and facts. If someone in the family can assist you in asking questions and if you could answer them loudly, it will be a fantastic opportunity to remember whatever you study.

Ask the testing company if they can provide practice tests. You might also find them on the internet. See if you already know someone who has taken the PLACE and ask them for pointers. Begin or join a group to help make you study on a normal basis.

Keep in mind that time is one of the most crucial elements when studying for the test. You should study often for manageable amounts of time and allow lots of time before the test date to take practice tests so you will be familiar with what will be presented.
