As of right now, WWE television has depicted the Shield as the corporate security guards of sorts for the Authority. If there is something that Triple H needs done in terms of physical regulation, he can turn to the three riot vest-wearing males to dish out punishment in their own right. However, I cannot help but feel as though the Wyatt Family may be taking on such a role. After assessing the possibility, I have both good and bad things to say in regards to it.
The Wyatt Family, as a whole, is not exactly the type of group that one would connect to the idea of security. In fact, Bray Wyatt would not exactly be the first identity I would consider when discussing the various details of corporate security guards. Keep in mind that he looks more like a horror movie antagonist than anyone that someone would consider with a reputable company of high esteem. In this regard, the Wyatts wouldn't bode well for authorities the likes of the Protective Group.
On the other hand, maybe this particular shift could prove to be the most effective choice for the Authority. The Shield, in recent times, has not exactly had the most success as far as their matches have been concerned. One can chalk this up to dissension within the group, given the fact that Dean Ambrose is the only champion in this band of three men. With this in mind, the group may not be able to work nearly as well as it would have otherwise.
I think that, considering the Shield's shoddy success these days, the Authority would be better off selecting another group. Yes, the Shield has always been known as the group that can work well with the numbers game on its side. This is something that very few will be able to dispute but why should a group of three trained men find themselves overwhelmed by a sole individual? This could be all of the reason the Authority needs in order to make a change in their ranks.
The Authority, as an organization within the WWE, is going to be strong in many different respects. One of them has to be inclusion of corporate security guards and I feel as though the members of the Shield, while very strong initially, have faltered quite a bit in recent times. What happens if the Authority decides that it is time to inject some new blood into the group? In my eyes, this would be the perfect opportunity for the Wyatt Family to be brought in for greater results.
