By Lora Jones

There's a new trend in the business industry and it has captured the attention of everybody, even the whole world. Crowd funding entrepreneurship is another option that young and eager yet obviously low funded entrepreneurs to get some pledges and finally have the funds to support their business or product.

Crowdfunding is simply a community that supports each other and fund dreams, projects and ideas. It also describe a group of people coming together to support other individual's or organization's projects through funding. Although it's one of the latest and newest option for one to generate money for his project the concept of such transaction is not exactly new.

Also known as crowd financing and crowd source capital, it basically started as an idea presented by a group or a company, and people willingly donate their money and make that idea a reality. This manner of financing one's business or brilliant idea has become increasingly popular and as the industry is growing, it's expected to become very successful.

To be able to start a project or product, the company or a person has to post his idea and the amount of cash he needs to generate and how would he pay their money back, if such option is indeed applicable. Technological advancements play a big role on this industry, with the efficiency and accessibility of the internet, starting the process was easier.

However, crownfunding has its own disadvantages too. For an instance, it could offer limited amount of funds, the generated funds could be subject to security regulations and gives a higher chance that your idea could be copied as you expose it to the public. There have been several websites or platforms for this one and most of which are gaining popularity as well as improving their business.

Indeed, entrepreneurs have to prove to their backers, who so willingly donated their money that their products will be of great use and with great quality. Backers can donate any amount of money, some sites allow potential backers to donate as little as one dollar. Obviously, modern technology plays a major part on the success of crowdfunding.

These websites or platforms offer support to several ideas such as mobile applications, creative projects, inventions, business start ups. There are those that help fund local small businesses and struggling artists, social entrepreneurs whose projects are related to supporting the community and so on. With modern technology almost nothing is impossible.

This concept would most probably be laughed at many years before. More so, without the advancement of technology communication has become more convenient and easy. Any form of business can be funded through these websites from leisure and tourism, food and drink, professional business, consumer products, oil and gas, even financial services.

Crowd funding entrepreneurship is very modern and still on its infancy but it has shown promising results. It could also be a great area on ripping off people's money thus, one is very much advised to take caution especially when you want to make a donation.
