It is easier just to get any old type of traffic but thousands of visitors aren't much use if they aren't going to buy what you are offering. If you want visitors to purchase your product or service then you need visitors that are looking for that particular product or service. There is a big difference to plain old traffic and targeted traffic.

When you've got a decent comprehension of sales that you would like to arrive then you can easily target your traffic. Advertising methods change constantly and your product could even change over time and that means you must maintain your ads recent and up-to-date with what you are selling and what your potential customers are looking for.
