After many years of observing the MLM Marketplace, I have noticed that there are many mistakes that MLM distributors make. These mistakes are not because the Mlm'er is stupid.......it is simply because in most cases they only follow what their upline or MLM Company tell them to do. They are only following the directions of those above them.
Usually, distributors are advised to approach their family members and friends which is called a 'warm' market, but this is often the main reason why so many of them result in failure, because they are not looking to start their own business in the first place. When you are in contact with your Upline, ask about Lead companies, and, when you are then promoting your MLM business, try to use only funded proposals as this will enable you to generate money upfront.
The second mistake most MLM'ers make is to believe all the Hype that abounds in the MLM Industry. "Retire in 6 Months", and "Join Now and get all my Spillover", are commonplace. There are NO shorcuts to Success in the MLM Industry and it certainly does not happen overnite. When you see people touting their success as being Overnite, it is in most cases because they have spent the last couple of years building a list or transferring a prebuilt downline from one company to another. If you are just starting out you must first build a foundation of core distributors and this takes TIME. Be patient, stick to a plan, and you will be successful. Don't deviate or join company after company.........even the most seasoned professional will find it difficult to work with more than one MLM company.
When choosing the company and the products you need to exercise care because both can make or break your MLM business. Very often it is a poor choice in company or products that causes a distributor's business to fail. Remember that the market has changed considerably over the last few years. Back in 1990 there were maybe a thousand or so distributors but this is no longer the case. Now there are over fifteen million of them in the United States alone and that figure is expected to rise by another five million by 2014.
As a result of the growth in the MLM business distributors are now competing against each other for ever smaller shares in the distributor base. Say, for example, that you are marketing the very latest secret from the remotest mountains in China. You can be sure that there are at least one hundred, if not more, distributors out there also marketing the exact same product as you. For many of them it is their flagship product
Thererefore I suggest you you select an MLM Company that Markets the tools the Industry needs, such as Leads. Now you have that whole 15 million people to market to.....not just a small segment.
Making a success of your MLM business is possible provided that you do your best to avoid making any of the mistakes that we have looked at. If you take care not to you will get the chance to enjoy success.
