Considerations Before Carrying Out Purchase Of Colossal Flagpoles

By Diane Fox

Individuals who have a desire to put up the largest and tallest metal flagpoles are encouraged to use colossal flagpoles. This is majorly because these kind of poles meet the architectural standards of the Institutes in America. The standards include the safety measures that need to be in place to handle the wind currents and the load present such as the flag.

The A-36 carbon steel is the metal type used in making the flagpoles due to the magnificent strength it portrays. Considering it is used in the construction of buildings and bridges it is best suitable in the making of poles as well. A uniformed appearance in poles is achieved through the use of a seamless steel concentric to join the sections.

The next process that follows the joining of sections is sandblasting which is done alongside with coating using epoxy primer chemical. The poles are then further coated using aliphatic urethane which is a gloss enamel. This last process results in a perfect gloss effect and color retention. The products are then left to dry before being shipped to the locations that have been mentioned in the clients orders.

The poles vary in different sizes based on the customers need right from one hundred feet rising the ladder to four hundred feet. The size of diameter of the rods increases both at the bottom and top of pole as the height of the same increases. Poles with large measurements of heights and diameters can handle larger sizes of flags.

The highest speed of wind needs to be considered within the site which the pole is to be set. A speed of one hundred and thirty miles per hour can be handled using rods of one hundred and fifty feet in height. On other hand, for poles above that height, the design needs to be specific to handle the speed without failing to consider the kind of location right from a city, coastal area or the countryside.

Furthermore, the size of flag to be used must be put into consideration before purchasing a pole. The ones that are of between one hundred and two hundred and twenty feet can handle a thirty by a fifty flags size. On the other hand, those that are between two hundred and three hundred feet can handle sixty by a hundred flag size. The right size of the flag prevents damages of pole or any other forms of damage and injury.

Some of manufacturing companies have an advanced feature of lighting up the flag at night. Several lighting solutions including solar lighting are available to handle the different sizes of poles. These options have an advantage of being environmental friendly to any site while at the same time being pocket friendly.

Customers are advised to identify manufacturing stores that have a couple of benefits in the purchase of poles. Some of these pros being talked about is presence of reasonable prices of products and warranty guarantee. Clients also have the right to free shipping of their products and servicing whenever there is a problem to be handled.
