The information they give will play a significant role in shaping the perception of your current employer.

Financial management is an indication of personal character and responsibility. They also use this information to verify whether you were earning as much as you have indicated. These records may make you unemployable and must therefore be kept clean.

Since it is impossible to escape these checks, the best option is to clear with such offices as early as possible. Further, be honest in your resume if such information is required.
