All too often we turn on the television to see a plane that has mysteriously fallen into the ocean or broken apart in mid-flight. Most of us have moments of anxiety when we think about flying. There is so much about the situation we have no control over. The Transportation Security Administration, tsa, was created in an attempt to make our flying experience as safe as possible. Some people buy empty containers so that they can fill them with specific brands. It is really easier though to purchase small, pre-filled bottles of shampoo, deodorant, and other items. They are readily available at most pharmacies, supermarkets, and the big chain stores.
Any medication you need can be taken with you when you board the plane. Placing them in a plastic bag may expedite the process, but that is not required. Frequent fliers will tell you that you should keep medicine with you and not packed in checked baggage. The x-ray machines currently in use by airport security should not affect your medications in any way. If you have concerns though, it is permissible to ask a security guard to check the items instead of scanning them.
