Twitch & Evaluation Of Long Island Advertising Agencies

By Robbie Sutter

Twitch.tv is a website that, if you're a video game fan or sports enthusiast, you have either heard about or actively utilized. This platform, which made its way to the forefront in 2011, has amassed a strong fan base, and understandably so. A website such as this encompasses a litany of interests, but there is a potential business aspect to consider. As a matter of fact, it's safe to assume that Long Island advertising agencies may utilize it in the future.

It wasn't only the general audience that has taken an interest in Twitch.tv, either. Just last year, Amazon announced that it would be purchasing said platform for $970 million; a hefty sum, to be certain. As a result, one could imagine that Amazon sees this as a future business endeavor, and one that they can build well into the future. Of course, in order for this to be done, sight should not be lost on what made this platform popular to begin with.

I am, of course, talking about the content itself and the individuals behind it. As a gamer, I have taken to watching speedrunners, as these individuals have taken older and newer titles alike, finding new strategies to complete them in the shortest times possible. I have seen the likes of "Super Mario 64" and "The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time" completed in the time it would take an average gamer to complete single levels or dungeons. It was impressive, to say the least.

This focus on organic content has to stay consistent, if any Long Island advertising agency plans on making the most out of Twitch.tv as possible. Companies like fishbat must make it a point to look into what the greater audience on this website enjoys. As covered earlier, video games and sports are two of the main focal points, but how can this be applied to future marketing endeavors? This is where creativity must come into play, which is a quality that has been often associated with these sorts of businesses.

Long Island advertising agencies are unique, in the sense that they can change with the times. I am sure that few can overlook this, especially with the advent of different social media platforms. Twitch.tv is most definitely a platform worth recognizing, regardless of if you're someone who's into gaming or simply entertainment as a whole. If companies figure out what this website is all about, it won't be long until they can maximize its effectiveness for long-term results.
