The History Of Funeral Home Smithers

In 1950s, a Funeral Home began under the ownership of the Emerson family.This home was referred to as funeral home smithers before it changed its name when it was bought by A. F Defrane. R. A. Allan Schraderas later took its ownership.

Change in ownership of the organization characterized its activities in subsequent years. Lowen Group bought the it from Allan Schrader leading to change in the name of the institution. The group would later sell it off to Alderwood after a short duration.

This company has been in existence for more than 60 years serving people within the same area. Several changes have been effected since it was established. Some of these changes include; space has been increased gradually over the years. A number of structures have been constructed leading to improvement in efficiency in comparison to when the institution was started in the 1950s. These structures include; a big urn selection room and casket, a garage, a 100 seat chapel and a prep room. Other minor changes include renovation of the top floor that was formerly a 3 bedroom apartment to be used as an office.

Until 2012, Allan Schrader, a prior owner of the institution, worked here as a manager. However in the springs of 2012, he went to work with his sons Darren and Lawrence in their Funeral home, Kamloops. After Allan left, Paul MacDonald, who had been the owner of Funeral Home Clayton in Quesnel for many years, took over the stewardship of the institution.He had been in Clayton since his retirement.

This organization continues to enjoy quality services from other employees who have more than twenty five years of working experience in this line of work. Some of these individuals are Christina Norton and Joe Garcia and .

It is also known for its well experienced and qualified directors who are often described as personable and compassionate.Their services have immensely contributed to the efficiency of services rendered and maintenance of the resources belonging to the institution Words like: courteous, understanding, patient, caring and impeccable have been used to describe the services of this organization.

Its directors have occasionally been termed as compassionate and personable. Words like Courteous, understanding, patient, caring and impeccable are commonly used terms in reference to the caliber of work done by this organization.

This company offers services closely at family level, it has helped clients at a personal level to overcome their grief, provides pre-paid funeral planning, cemeteries facilities and cremation services.The home offers services to many areas such as Houston, Kitwanga, Smithers, Smithers BC and Burns lake.The organization renders its services twenty four hours in a day and throughout the weekThese personal and high quality services has made the organization become renowned as one of the most committed to its client welfare since its initiation in the 1950s.Solidifying its impeccable reputation is its history of non discrimination. It believes in service to all people regardless of denomination and faith. This has undoubtedly led to its services being widely celebrated.
