Google uses page rank to decide where your site appears in the search results. If you are way down the list, your traffic and sales will suffer. So how do you get a high page rank? Well, the best way is by getting lots of quality backlinks. Although many people focus on creating reciprocal links (a straight link exchange with another webmaster), Google much prefers one way links. It can be hard to get lots of quality one way links, luckily there is a solution in three way links.
It is a strategy that is designed to use the limitations of Google's web spiders and bots that currently only detect two way links, but cannot detect three way links. These appear to be one way links (Google's favourite!) Normally when Google's spider finds a link on a page, it checks to see whether the site it links to, links back. If the links are reciprocal Google will use a complex algorithm that lowers the links influence over both pages ranks.
Using three way linking, three webmasters can form a chain, where site 1 links to site 2 who links to site 3, who links back to site 1 again. None of these sites ever create a reciprocal link, so Google cannot pick up the exchange. This means that each site gets a page rank boost.
To use this method to boost your site and start seeing more sales you will need to find two webmasters who are willing to enter an exchange with you. To notice a real difference in traffic and sales you will need to create many of these links. I prefer to use a special software to do this job for me. It only takes a few minutes to set up and all my backlinks are taken care of. Using this I began to see a drastic increase in traffic and sales. In fact it was enough to help me get out of debt. That is why I feel that this is a really valuable system and should be taken advantage of by more struggling webmasters and bloggers.
