A great device mount should be able to do a number of things, with the most important being able to attach firmly in a way that makes the screen easy to view without blocking the view to the road. Furthermore it has to hold the device tightly while making titling of its angle and orientation easy and should fit any size. The mount should allow a one-hand easy removal and insertion of the gadget.

Several locations within a vehicle can be used to hold the devices according to the preference of the individuals whether it is the air vent, windshield, the dash or CD-player slot. Its presence on the windshield or the dash means a strong setup but however reduce a nice view of the road. Additionally, the adhesive-backed disc might easily result in the destruction of the dash.

While looking at the vent type it is considered to have the feature of rubber arms that firmly provides a grip in the cars vents. They are very small and easy to use without causing a destruction to the vehicle. Blasting hot air from the vent during winter however causes the device to overheat and result in a defect.

The CD-slot is the third type which provides the most security if properly installed and allows the good to be within an easy reach. As long as there are two slots available, the CD player cannot be affected. This type is however not very effective since it can easily prevent the climate controls and the touchscreen view.

In regard to all the options given above, a better considered choice is the magnet-based systems which is the best for most people. This type gives vehicle owners two options, the tension-grip ones that can physically hold the device and the second one being the magnet. It allows easy insertion and removal along with easy re positioning.

The magnetic type has a selection of thin metallic plates, often designed to stick at the back of your phone. After installation, these plates allow you to lift the phone near the handle to connect the two in a magnetic manner. In most cases, the hold is very secure yet the gadget can be simply removed.

This option comes with an additional feature known as the protective film which is used when directly attaching the plate to the back of the gadget. This film is put in place to help in the plate removal if need arises sometime in the future. Most importantly this type works well with all sizes of devices.
