Never skip breakfast or so they say. Missing out on breakfast may lead to an unproductive day, obesity and even poor health conditions. However this quote does not seem to apply for busy professionals. Evidently they do need to rush off to work or school to avoid traffic and missing out on opportunities thus having something handy such as vegan granola is highly recommended for these folks. It will keep them full and energized as they do their tasks.

Both store-bought and homemade granola are packed with fiber, monounsaturated fats and essential nutrients that help in lowering bad cholesterol, regulating blood sugar and maintaining a healthy immune system. This plant-based treat also helps in cleaning the digestive track and arteries of harmful toxins that often results to heart ailments, type-2 diabetes and cancer. It has no sodium content making it a good alternative for individuals yearning to lose weight.

It is also filled with essential vitamins and minerals that allows one to feel and look always. It has manganese for metabolism, potassium for better oxygen and blood flow and iron that prevents anemia. It also contains vitamin D and E plus omega-3 fatty acid for healthier skin, bones and nervous system.

Consuming too much of these delicacies can be detrimental for your health. Fats and sugar do compound if you are not cautious. Read the label to note how much calories you intake for one bar.

One must learn to read labels or count calories to make sure that what you are eating is really good for your body. Some do have higher sugar content than others. Other brands do use preservatives to prolong its shelf life.

Make a batch to ensure its nutritional value. Store it in airtight containers if you are preparing some for a week. Pack it individually if needed so you can grab it and go. Look up some recipes online or try experimenting in the kitchen. Use what is in season or simply use what is in your cupboard. Have fun creating your own nutritional treats.

Toast evenly coated rolled oats, honey, nuts and berries in a baking sheet to create a cereal. Bake it until it is golden in color. Use a baking pan if your desire to create into bars. Cut it evenly before it cools down completely. Add in dried fruits, jams, raisins, or peanut butter to add interest to your granola. Make use of brown sugar, agave or maple syrup if honey is unavailable. Remember that altering the original recipe can add additional calories into these delectable treats. Doing some research would be helpful especially if you are watching your weight.

Have the habit to eat right to feel right. Be cautious of what you eat because it will somehow take toll on your looks and performance. Aim to include more fiber in your diet to detoxify your internal organs. However do not overdo it. Always listen to your body. Feed it well so it can function accordingly.
