By George Dodson

Quitting a job is actually the last resort if one person is already unsatisfied with it. As you head to a job that you feel that is sucking too much of your energy without having to provide you with the salery that you deserve, you'll definitely opt to quit that job.

This will then lead you to the question "Is this the kind of job that I want?". Can't I have another job? Monday to Friday of exhausting work and then just have a breathe of fresh air during Saturdays and Sundays?

Having to think of these things leaves you with feelings of depression and can sometimes even harm your health.

This problem however can be dealt with accordingly. After quitting their jobs, some were able to recover by establishing their own business or by finding a more rewarding positions.

Before you submit that resignation letter, it is but essential that you think over it first.

You need to ask yourself if this decision is brought about long term issues from working or just something that is just decided in a heated moment. If your reason is that the job can no longer help you achieve your goals or can cause problems to your health then it would be a good reason to resign.

Then, you would need a good understanding of what is happening. Be precise on the things that you do not like in your job. Does your reason involve being uncomfortable to work with others? Would it be because you yearn for more respect than what you are getting? Or maybe because your job does not help you to improve your skills?

Furthermore, having to leave something behind doesn't guarantee you anything. Know if your path will lead you to a better situation or state. Leaving a job which no longer help you attain your goals does not necessarily mean that you are heading for the right direction - leaving your job only aids the discomfort, pain or stress which you are feeling. Ask yourself if you need more leisure time. Would you prefer a job that gives you more responsibility? Or perhaps little or no responsibility? Get paid using your creativity? A more logical reason? Be specific with what you want and what you would like to do in your life.

You should also have plan prior to leaving the job which you currently have. Before you act, think of the consequences. As soon as you've made up your mind to achieve something once you've quit your job, lay out a plan on how you can take that route. It is essential that you finish this plan before leaving your job. Before leaving your job, look up new job openings which you want, find spaces for your business, write blogs, etc.

That plan of yours will back up your decision of having to quit your job. Also, it can provide you with ease of mind as you?ll be setting up a back-up plan the moment you are out of your current work. The plan will even boost your confidence and will help you look forward to better opportunities. As soon as you have a good plan you can execute after resigning along with the back up finances then you can confidently hand your resignation to your boss.
