It is not uncommon for a company to release an upgrade to an existing phone. In reality no cell phone is perfect and it often takes a couple of models to get it just right. This can be said about T-Mobile. They released the Dash and while it was a good phone it was far from perfect. It needed some tweaks and adjustments made. T-Mobile answered these problems with the T-Mobile Dash 3G.
The Dash 3G has a great look and feel. It is a more professional looking phone due to the soft finish along the backside of it. The phone appears unique among all other shiny metal finished phones. The phone is not too big and will fit neatly into ones pocket. One of the more notable drawbacks to the Dash 3G is the screens small size. The resolution is only 320x240; in the smartphone world that isnt much. You may see some stray pixels when viewing photos, videos, websites etc. One the plus side the trackball navigator is very easy to use and will make surfing the web really easy. It is a step up over the rudimentary d-pad found on a lot of phones out there. Also the full QWERTY keyboard is very comfortable to utilize. The keys arent cramped and small like on most smartphones. The Dash 3G features a very spacious keyboard which anyone with big hands and fingers which surely appreciate. The buttons are easy to read because they were printed using very vibrant colors and ink.
The phone obviously offers 3G service. This is a great addition because there hasnt been a suitable 3G phone available from Sprint. Websites, videos, songs, etc will load with great speed. This phone is a great upgrade from either the Sidekick LX 2009 or the G1. The Dash 3G also allows users to link up their email and instant messaging accounts, allowing them to instant receive email and message alerts. Another addition to the Dash is the expansive GPS services. Using TeleNav Navigation you are able to receive real time voice guided directions to your destination.
The Dash 3G houses a 2 megapixel camera. When compared to the 1.3-megapixel camera found on the first Dash this new camera is a great improvement. The camera takes very nice looking photos, and offers up a nice variety of image capture options. The Dash 3G can also record video. The video quality is decent but can be quite grainy at times.
The Dash 3G is a great upgrade for anyone who already owns the Dash. The Dash 3G is such an improvement on the Dash and offers users a lot more functions and features. Despite its small screen it is still a great phone many people can still utilize.
