What on earth does the above quote from Eckhart Tolle have to do with successful Internet marketing? And before you think I'm getting all woo-woo-mystical on you, just hold on and hear me out. As much as some would like to bill it as otherwise, Internet Marketing is more an art than a science. And for the vast majority of those that get involved it is a process of learning and mastering various skills -- especially in the beginning when you may find yourself becoming the jack-of-all-trades in your business because you lack the resources (aka money) to out-source. In most cases this process takes some time and more than a little effort " as well as some trial-and-error. This is where your Mind-Set, your attitude comes in to play.
I feel feel few people actually fail as Internet Marketers . . . they really just quit before they even get in the game. Business opportunities are typically presented in a way that almost guarantees that people that get involved in Internet Marketing business do so with unreal expectations. Don't misunderstand me, it is very possible -- and do-able -- to make excellent money on the Internet -- you may even get wealthy! But you're NOT going to do that by joining some business opportunity and doing no work. Most beginners discover soon enough that reality is quite different than what was marketed. At this point many throw in the towel, convinced that they've "been scammed". But the beginner who's desire for success is greater than their tendency to make excuses, will do whatever it takes to learn the Business of Internet Marketing and take action needed for success.
Want to become a successful Internet Marketer? You'll need to nurture an abundant frame of mind; an expectation of winning. Creativity, determination and the ability to "take a licking and keep on ticking" -- all characteristics that are stifled by a pessimistic, stressful mind-set. It is also important to nurture relationships and associations with successful Internet Entrepreneurs as alliances and joint ventures are an important part of Internet Business Success. Successful Business Entrepreneurs -- whether "On-line" or out there in the "real" world -- don't like to be around negative people. Having an Abundant State of Mind, hand-in-hand with an Expectation of Achievement is at the heart of Success, whether on the Internet or not.
