How to get No. 1 on Google?

The sure shot way to get top rankings with Google is to get listed with DMOZ, sometimes called an Open Directory. This is however not the fastest ways to get your site noticed by Google. DMOZ would take their time, weeks or months before you get listed. The reason for this is that every site is checked by a category editor personally and your site could be down below in the queue. One vital point to remember when submitting sites to DMOZ is that you must ensure that you read, understand and follow every piece of guideline and instructions to the tee.

There is yet another way to get noticed by Google and that is through submitting articles to article submission sites. Most of the reputed article submission sites permit you to insert a box called 'About the Author' or 'Author Resource'. This is the place where you insert the link to your site.

One of the great advantages of writing meaningful articles is that other sites use them in their sites. It is mandatory for them to use the resource box so that you can access a free link to your site. That is another opportunity to get noticed by Google and if your articles are in line with your line of business, you would get increased amount of site traffic. Thus, you could submit to Google directly but never ignore the options of directories or article writing, which could assure you of better chances of getting noticed.
